48. English Country Garden

Good morning everyone. Hope that you are all well. Now, you know I like to be different and use songs for themes for a bit of fun so this time my theme is . . . . . . . . . . . . .

ENGLISH COUNTRY GARDEN

This is not just random flowers but ones that feature in the first verse of the song, which is as follows;

How many kinds of sweet flowers grow In an English country garden? We'll tell you now of some that we know Those we miss you'll surely pardon Daffodils, heart's ease and flox Meadowsweet and lady smocks Gentian, lupin and tall hollyhocks Roses, foxgloves, snowdrops, blue forget-me-nots In an English country garden

That should give you folks plenty of scope as at least
one of these flowers must be used on your entries.

Heart's Ease is a tri-colour viola
Meadowsweet is the fluffy white plant you find in hedgerows
And Lady Smocks are also called the Cuckoo Flower

Feel a bit like Alan Titchmarsh now lol!!! I'm hoping everyone knows what the other flowers are in the song.

Best of luck.
